Pass through Whangarei, Northland´s only city and major port, before arriving at the Bay of Islands. Upon arrival, travel along the attractive shoreline to the historic Waitangi Treaty House and grounds.
Enjoy a guided tour of the Waitangi Treaty Grounds including the Treaty House, the Maori Meeting House and the large Maori War Canoe. You will be met by your driver at the Waitangi Visitor Information Centre and continue to Paihia Wharf to catch the ferry to Russell.
In Russell you will enjoy a fascinating tour by mini bus of New Zealand´s most historic settlement, rich in cultural and whaling history. After the tour returns to Paihia you may check into your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day.
Day two will begin with the Cape Brett Hole-in-the-Rock Cruise. Highlights include Cape Brett Lighthouse, Motukokako Island´s famous Hole in the Rock and a visit to Otehei Bay.
After the cruise enjoy a few more hours of exploration around the Bay of Islands before boarding your coach back to Auckland in the late afternoon. Upon arrival in Auckland, at approximately 8:15 pm, hotel and motel drop offs commence.
