Departure is from Panama City at 8:00 am, transportation will be provided in 4X4 vehicles. After a two-hour ride on regular roads, you will travel another 20 minutes on a road requiring a 4X4 transmission.

The selected portion of the river features soft water currents in the place where it starts. Then, it goes from white water rapids, Class II and III, to a waterfall, which is considered Class IV. In this sector, some walking is required for safety reasons.

Most of your time will be spent navigating and paddling in the rafts. The scenery along the river varies constantly.

You will see open fields for cattle, forest and banana plantations, subsistence agriculture fields and gallery forests. Gold has been found in the river and if you´re lucky, you may see the local gold seekers washing gold in their plates. The fauna is also diverse, hence you may encounter crocodiles, Tamarin Monkeys, a variety of water birds and abundant fish.

Enjoy lunch on a sand bar in a river beach, relax for a while and then continue with the adventure. Around 3:00 pm transportation will return you to Panama City. Arrive to Hotel in Panama City around 5:00 pm
