We highly recommend this relaxed tour to the 18,000 acre Air Force Academy, as you will see and enjoy more in less time than if you visited these sites on your own.

After we pass through the North Gate, you will view the B-52 Bomber, Diamond Lil, followed by a lovely scenic drive up North Gate Road. While cadets purposefully go about their business, you´ll stop at the Athletic Field House and the $3.8 million Visitors Center. Funded entirely by donations, this center uses the latest technology to educate and entertain guests.

The next stop, the Garden of the Gods, is one of the most photographed natural wonders in the United States and rightfully so! This 1,350 acre park at the foot of Pikes Peak features fantastically shaped sandstone formations that jut from the earth at crazy angles, the product of cataclysmic forces when the earth was young. Most of the formations have whimsical names that describe their appearance we will stop at several, including "Balanced Rock", which seems to defy gravity, and "Kissing Camels."

*In the event of heightened national security conditions, the Air Force Academy tour may be replaced with a visit to the US Olympic Training Center.
