Hear the unpublished stories, "naughty and nice," of these great streets, buildings, songs, events and characters, all of which have made Nashville a city known around the world. The lyrics of Nashville history are a song of romance and tragedy, heroes and villains, civility and war, southern belles and southern brothels.
The stories you’ll hear while on tour read like a John Wayne or Randolph Scott movie, with characters like Daniel Boone, Davy Crockett, Andrew Jackson and Fannie Battle (arrested by the Union Army for compromising their soldiers and the Army’s secrets at the same time). These characters spring to life in the stories of their wild times in Nashville. Fictional stories like "Gone with the Wind" have nothing on the truth.
You’ll experience a Behind the Scenes Tour of the Ryman Auditorium, known as the "Mother Church of Country Music." These walls tell stories of Nashville’s modern folk heroes of Music: Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, Hank Williams Sr., Patsy Cline, Tootsie Bess and countless others whose songs and lives have shaped the image of this city and molded its home grown musical style, "Country Music!"
This tour departs from the Gray Line Booth on Second Ave and Broadway in front of the Hard Rock Café. Pickup is not included.
