ITINERARY

Altos de Chavon, is an architectural wonder, a 16th century replica of a Mediterranean village perched high above the Chavón River. The village was designed by Dominican architect Jose Antonio Caro and created by Italian master designer and cinematographer Roberto Coppa. Dominican artisans handcrafted the stone pathways, decorative ironwork, furniture and enchanting buildings reviving almost forgotten crafts of metal work and stone carving. Under Coppa´s direction, each stone was hand cut, each wooden door frame was handcrafted and each wrought-iron detail hand-forged. Construction of the village began in 1976 and the village was inaugurated in 1982 with the concert of Frank Sinatra in the 5,000 seat amphitheater.

Stroll along cobblestone streets and enjoy the architectural grandeur of days gone by as you take in the detailed, amazing quality craftsmanship of yesteryear. Quaint shops, boutiques, art galleries, fine restaurants and an archeological museum are just a sampling of the world that awaits you atop the picturesque cliffs of Casa de Campo.

From the Casa de Campo Marina you will boat your catamaran where the journey will take you past million dollar homes and yachts of Casa de Campo before arriving to Catalina Island.

The ocean is incredibly clear and the beach are of white sand. Relax on a sunbed or be energetic and ride the banana boat or mega wing. Go fishing. Go snorkeling. It is all there for you to enjoy for 4 hours.

You will see a Dominican Carnival, a festival of tradition and you will feel the music and dances. A buffet lunch on the beach.

Lunch includes:
bread, green salad, mixed vegetable salad, various seasonal fruits, pasta, moro (rice with beans), yellow rice, BBQ pork chops, BBQ chicken, coffee Open bar continues from the boat.
