ITINERARY

Begin your trip with a pickup service from your hotel in Merida, then go directly to Mayapán, the last capital of the ancient Mayan culture during the post-classic period. Take pictures of the antique Mayan constructions and admire their architectural style and the similarities they have with The Observatory and the Kukulkán Pyramid in Chichén Itzá.

Continue this trip through the treasures of the Yucatan with a visit to San Miguel Arcangel’s convent, a monastery located in the small town of Maní. This colonial building dating back over 400 years is an important site in the culture and religion of Yucatan.

Your last stop will be the mysterious caves of Lol Tun. Feel the adventure, mysticism and excitement by entering through small and dark passageways to the enigmatic Mayan underworld. Learn of the importance of caves in the Mayan Culture, taste the local flavors and live an authentic local culinary experience. A traditional Yucatecan lunch is included.
