We loved the Downtown and Uptown tours. My 8 year old really enjoyed the Night tour and we also enjoyed the boat tour to see the Statue of Liberty. Mostly had friendly tour guides.

The locations coevered by the tour are good as they can see most of new york that tourist on a short stay would not normally see if not taking the tour but:- the tour guides need to be genuinely interested and passionate about what they are doing... Either one is mumbling and sounds so bored or the other making jokes and laughing with an irritating, grating sound- the night tour driver need to be more careful with his driving especially when turning, he tends to do mutiple swerves when turning which resulted in a bad accident for 2 of the passengers, one of which an old lady who fell down her seat and bang her head- customer service needs to improve... In the accident noted above neither did the tour guide or the driver offered assistance to the passengers hurt. After about 10 minutes, the tour guide offered small a couple of bandages. Since they didnt even inquire about the well being of the pasengers hurt before rounding down to make sure they get tips from passengers deboarding, they didnt know that the accident caused long, deep cuts that would require more than just small plasters. Once the passengers hurt got off the bus, the bus left immediately possibly trying to avoid the incident.- the bus/tour need to be more prepared in case of emergency. The bus only carry a handful of plasters, not even alcohol wipes or ointment for first aid. - more bus needs to be more deployed and bus stops more organized, they indicated that the bus runs every 30 minutes but in some cases passengers had to wait more than an hour, 45 minutes for a bus to come and the only to find out there is not even enough room for all those people in lines so had to wait again. - if this tour includes free cruise ride, they should have at least planned to have bus running close to the hop on and hop off points of the ferry.

What a terrible experience. First of all, if you buy tickets online, why in the world do you require going to a specific location in Manhattan, wait in line and then show your ticket in exchange for a lengthy printed roll of tickets. Surely it would suffice to ust show your online ticket to the bus driver at ANY stop along the route. Furthermore, the ticket office site is filthy and dilapidated. Then, we had to walk a block away to get on the bus - after waiting more than a half hour that is. Since we had a disabled person in our party I asked the attendant if the lower level was air conditioned. He responded rather snottily "How should I know? - You'll just have to board and see for yourself" You gotta be kidding! So I waited till the driver returned and asked him. He said "Just board and you will find out when I start the bus" What? And he added "Of course, 8 out of 10 of our buses the AC is broken". So my handicapped friend struggled to get up (and eventually down) the stairs to the upper level. Sure enough when we left the bus we discovered it was, indeed, air conditioned on the lower level!Well, there's more... much more misery on this trip. For example, the bus got into an accident with a NJ Transit bus and we had to wait about an hour - in the 98 degree heat - for another bus to show up with enough room to accommodate us. Still more? You bet, but suffice it to say, this was, by far, the WORST bus tour any of us have ever had the misfortune to take. Your company should be ashamed of this entire operation.
