Hello Anastasiia,

Thank you for taking the time to reach out to us at Gray Line today. While it is good to hear that you enjoyed the tour itself, and saw some penguins in their natural habitat, it's unfortunate to hear that you felt there was a price discrepancy though what you paid, and what the tour was worth. We'll admit that the translation of this text left it open for interpretation, so if you feel the tour was not WORTH what you paid, we do apologize. If you saw the tour ADVERTISED for a cost much lower than this in person, please let us know by emailing us at info@grayline.com, as the price for this tour online is consistent across websites and platforms.

In response to the wait times before and after the experience--we agree that there is room for improvement here, and we'll touch base with our local team ASAP to ensure that they are making the best logistical choices and using their provided resources properly. We apologize for any inconveniences and/or uncomfortable situations as a result of this.

It was a no go. Cancelled with no chance to replace the excursion.

Hello,

We want to first apologize that our decision not to operate led to you not being able to take the tour you had planned for. We do operate with a strict safety record however, and do make these decisions for everyone's well-being; we apologize that you may felt there were any other motives behind the cancellation due to other operaters going forward with the experience. Although the refund was the only right thing to do, we do realize it's hard to put it in place of the missed opportunity for the experience you had planned. We truly do apologize for this, and wish you the best of luck in future travels.

ITINERARY

Passengers must be at 06:30 a.m in the address jose nogueira 1255 to check-in.
After doing the check-in at the solo expediciones Office, we'll start this must do trip to an unforgiving place.

Located 32 km northeast of Punta Arenas, in the middle of the Strait of Magellan, Magdalena Island is a must for animal lovers, hosting the greatest colony of penguins in the continental region. This island is a protected area since 1982, year in which it was renamed “Los Pinguinos Natural Moment”. It has an interesting ecosystem, with more than 60.000 couple of penguins which come during the summer in order to reproduce and other kind of birds, such as cormorants and Andean seagull.

We will reach the Island after a navigation of about 40 min. Once disembarked, you will have about one hour to walk around and take picture. Visitors may complete the visit by reaching “The Lighthouse” environmental interpretation center where information about the history of the strait and the ecological richness of the islands is provided.
