The guide and driver were very punctual. My husband, 6 year old son and I were the only passengers on Easter Sunday (4/16/2017) and had the shuttle to ourselves. The van was clean and nicely air-conditioned.The guide was very knowledgeable of the rich history of the Dominican Republic and Santo Domingo and answered any questions we had. The driver navigated the roads very well while stopping and/or slowing down at the perfect moments so we could take photos.A few things to make note of:- this is not a "walking tour". You will drive past all the sites, stopping for a quick photo and hopping back on the shuttle. Given the price, this should be obvious. (We did spend 20 minutes walking around an area of the Colonial city because I requested it)- The tour description on the website is outdated. When I mentioned the botanical gardens, the guide stated that it was no longer part of the itinerary. He mentioned that the choice is between Los Tres Ojos or the Botanical Gardens. The website specifically lists both places as stops. - On the website, the itinerary also includes a 45 minute stop at Blue Mall. We did not do this either. While I prefer to see more local historical sites than go to a mall, an alternative was not substituted in for this (like the gardens!).- We left at 9 a.m. and was dropped off at 12:15 p.m. The tour duration was stated on the website to be 4 hours. We finished the tour earlier than expected. We're not sure if this was due to the light traffic on Easter Sunday or due to skipping stops.Overall, we think it was a good tour. If the stops (botanical gardens, etc

Hi Natasha,

Thank you for a very detailed review of the tour you joined with our Dominican Team this past Easter. We certainly do appreciate your even sided and honest review, and do agree that there should be obligations to stick to the advertised itinerary and timeframes for our paying customers. Given this, we will touch base with our staff in Santo Domingo to ensure that we are providing the proper tour experiences and giving customers what they expect. Again, we thank you for taking the time to alert us to these issues, and for choosing Gray Line.

Guide was very knowledgeable and helpful but needs to manage time better. Some of the other tour participants where spending way too much time idling around the sites and we missed out on the botanical gardens because we ended up running late

The tour never happened and I haven't received a refund, despite calling the office multiple times and sending an email requesting it.

Hi Maria,

First, we want to apologize for the events that led to your tour not being possible on your planned date of travel. Although at the writing of this message a full refund has been authorized to your account, we do realize it does not make up for the missed opportunity and great experience to explore such a beautiful place like Santo Domingo, something you surely had anticipated. We certainly do acknowledge this mistake, and will be discussing it with our local Dominican Republic Office to ensure that it does not happen again to future customers!
