WHY YOU SHOULD GO

Adelaide River War Memorial, Katherine Gorge Cruise, Edith Falls

Highlights

Katherine Gorge, set deep within the stone country of Nitmiluk National Park, is a dramatic setting. View a massive rock wall that towers above the Katherine River, experience ancient Aboriginal Dreamtime stories, enjoy the prolific birdlife, and take a boat journey into the 'never never' land - highlighting the grandeur of this spectacular gorge. Edith Falls cascades down the sheer rock wall face into a paperbark encompassed plunge pool and both the Pine Creek historic town and the Adelaide River War Cemetery offer amazing contrasts in a powerful outback land.
