Savor our gourmet tapas in the Spazio Interior on the 16th floor of the Barolo Palace, an architectural and cultural icon of the city, and enjoy incredible views from this rooftop.
Luigi Barolo, the textile businessman who financed the building, required that it express the majesty of a decade that seemed promising, the golden 1920s. The Architect Mario Palanti then designed the building to reflect great category and originality in its entire structure. That is why Palanti designed, himself, everything from the elevators to the lamps and doorknobs, giving them his unmistakable mark. It also provided the Palace with the most modern technological advances to position it among the great skyscrapers that existed at that time.
Emulating those imposing structures, he crowned it with an amazing luminaire, an emblem of its importance for the city. Even today, the Barolo Palace Lighthouse is unique of its kind and, since it was put into service more than a decade ago, it lights up and rotates illuminating the center of Buenos Aires, thus reaffirming its character as an icon of Buenos Aires. In 1997, Barolo was declared a National Historical Monument.
The Barolo is recognized by an exceptional distinctive that makes it unique in the world: it is architecture inspired by Poetry. The palace is the representation of The Divine Comedy by Dante Alighieri and, therefore, is conceptually divided into Hell (underground of the building and Ground Floor), Purgatory (Floor 1 to 14) and Heaven (from the 15th Floor to the crown).
Salón 1923 is located on the Rooftop, 16th floor, in Paradise according to the Dantesque segmentation of the building. In 2010, the luminaire that we see from the two terrazzos of our rooftop was declared the Argentine Bicentennial Lighthouse.
They say that it gives you luck to toast while looking at the highest point of Paradise, where dreams come true. We invite you to meet us and check it out.
