We will meet very close to the Puerta de Alcalá, where we will begin a one-hour walking tour of the Landscape of Arts and Sciences, also known as the Landscape of Light. This walk, considered a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, is an extraordinary urban landscape, where culture and nature have been united for more than five centuries of history.
The tour will take you to places such as the Paseo del Prado, the Cibeles Fountain, the Plaza de Santa Ana, the Statue of Miguel de Cervantes or the Lope de Vega House-Museum. All of these places will allow you to discover the history of Madrid while you are impressed with the beauty of the city.
At the end of the walking tour, we will enter into the Prado Museum through the preferential entrance. You will be able to admire some of the most famous European works by artists such as El Bosco, El Greco, Velázquez, Goya and Rubens. Discover the initial purpose for which the building that today houses one of the most famous art galleries in the world was built.
The Prado Museum currently houses more than 1.000 works from four different centuries. For this reason, your guide will take you on a tour of some of the most important works, and you will learn about the history of each of the works, as well as the lives of the artists who created them. Once the tour is over, you can stay inside the museum for as long as you like, so you can explore and get to know the rest of the works in the Prado Museum.
