Beautiful location. The brother and sister that run the place are super friendly. The tour was amazing. As a novice rider it was a nice easy tour.

Limited review. We were picked up by the van from the Laxnes horse farm on time and drove about 1/2 hour to begin this part of the tour. At the farm we put on insulated overalls and helmets and proceeded to be assigned to a horse. Two guides came with the group, one in front the other in the rear. The ride lasted about two hours. We rode a trail through open fields, creeks, up and down hills, all surrounded by striking Icelandic landscapes. At the halfway point we gave the horses a rest and were able ta walk to view a waterfall in the hills. We returned by a different route to the farm to complete the ride At Laxnes we were able to buy soup and bread while we waited for Gray Line to pick us up to join the Golden Circle Express Tour. The first stop fo the tour was at Thingvellir National Park. Unfortunately for me here I slipped on the ice and broke my wrist and had to discontinue the tour. I have high praise for Gray Line at this point. The tour guide informed home office and a car was sent to the locayion to take me back to Reykjavik's hospital where the arm was x-rayed, set and placed in a cast. The staff at the park's reception center was also excellent providing first aid.My children continued on the tour and raved about the rest of it.
