Itinerary

Board a yacht at Puntarenas and enjoy the Gulf of Nicoya and its beautiful group of islands, admiring the many sea birds while cruising to Tortuga Island. Tortuga Island is known for its immaculate white sand beach and turquoise waters, a perfect stop for swimming and snorkeling. You will remain on the island for approximately four hours, and in that time you can enjoy different activities such as the Canopy tour, trails, kayaking, snorkelling, swimming, beach sports or simply relax and enjoy the beach while the crew prepares an exquisite buffet lunch.

I didn’t realize it would take over an hour to get to the boat and then once we arrived, we waited for another hour before we even left the dock. The food and drink on the boat was subpar (breakfast was a ham sandwich and unripe watermelon) but the lunch was decent. I got to snorkel, but didn’t know a hike or banana boat ride was included. I had no idea what a banana boat was so I missed out because no one explained it to me until I saw the other people being taken out into the water. I rated it a 4 because it was a lovely trip and I felt super relaxed.
