Start your London in a Day tour off with a panoramic tour through the city’s most iconic locations. Passing Parliament Square where you’ll see the historic Westminster Abbey, Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament and many more of London’s greatest landmarks.
Then we move on to St. Paul Cathedral, Towering high over the City of London, that is widely considered to be Sir Christopher Wren’s masterpiece. Once you’ve had the chance to soak in the views from the outside, venture inside to the famous Cathedral. Explore London’s tremendous religious history and take in the sights of the crypts and magnificent paintings as you uncover all that St Paul’s has to offer.
Following the cathedral we head to Buckingham Palace to witness the Changing of the Guard. Experience royal London with a trip to the dazzling golden gates of Her Majesty the Queen’s official residence. Although you won’t get to go inside the famous palace, you will get to see it from the best position possible and have the chance to watch the iconic Changing of the Guard ceremony.
After snacks, you will visit the Tower of London, a 1000 year old fortress that hides a past full of torturous tales and major historical events. See the sparkling Crown Jewels sitting snugly in the Jewel House guarded by Yeoman Warders and explore the tower that was once a Royal Palace, prison and zoo. Join a Yeoman Warder (‘Beefeater’) for an exclusive and very different view of the famous Tower of London on this guided tour. You will hear the story of the peasants’ revolt and attack on the Tower of 1381 and learn how the Tower’s very architecture protects it from attack.
Escape the inspiring Tower and take to the river for a relaxing River Thames Boat Ride. As you float down towards Greenwich, enjoy the unparalleled view of London’s attractions and landmarks. Once in Greenwich enjoy a walking to and see why it is an absolutely beautiful part of London as well as a UNESCO World Heritage Site that is bursting with history. See the iconic tea clipper boat, The Cutty Sark, and the Christopher Wren designed Old Royal Naval College.
After your walking tour, board the river boat and head back towards Central London, taking in more gorgeous city sights. Choose to disembark at either The London Eye near Waterloo and Westminster or The Shard at London Bridge.
