Itinerary

Come with us to visit the fascinating city of Ronda, one of the most historic locations in southern Andalusia. Admire the beauty of its rugged landscapes and breathtaking views, and feel the relaxing atmosphere of its streets.

Upon arrival, you will enjoy a sightseeing guided tour of its main attractions including Puerta de Almocabar (Almocabar Gate), Iglesia del Espiritu Santo (Church of the Holy Spirit), Town Hall Square, and Iglesia de Santa Maria la Mayor (Church of Santa Maria la Mayor).

We will continue with a full visit of the Plaza de Toros de la Maestranza, one of the oldest bullrings in Spain and also the site of some of the most important events in bullfighting history. It is considered the birthplace of traditional bullfighting and also home of the world known Goyesca bullfight, where the decoration and the clothing of bullfighters and spectators brings us to the age of the famous painter Goya. You will also enjoy the visit of the bullfighting museum inside.

Later on, we will go to a local winery called Bodegas La Sangre de Ronda. This is a wine museum that explores the historical and cultural impact that wine has had on this region. You will have the opportunity to taste some local wines.

Free time for lunch and to discover the city at leisure before we drive you back to your pick up point in the Costa del Sol. On our way back, we will make a short stop of about 45 minutes at Marbella's city center for you to go for a walk and take some pictures.

The good side includes the tour guide Danny was very nice and explained everything very clearly in English. The amount of free time is appropriate in each location. You will have sufficient time if you’d want some food at each stop. The entrance of the bullring was included and it is definitely a place worth visiting. The bad points include the overall tour is too long. Grayline puts 06:55-17:00 but actually we arrived Malaga at 1830. Because they have multiple pick up points, we arrived the first stop at around 09:30, so you would imagine, there is not much to see on the bus from 06:55-09:30. On our way back, traffic made it even worse, we left our last stop at 15:30 and arrive at 18:30. My partner even suffered from motion sickness. We were a bit disappointed with the wine tasting. There was no one explaining the characteristics of the wines. All we have got is a plastic cup that we can drink 7 wines as much as we want and some snacks to share with others in the same tour. I have joined a wine tasting tour in Italy which was booked via Grayline as well but this is nothing like that one.
