Tour Overview
No trip to Paris is complete without a quick jaunt outside the city to see the incredible Palace of Versailles and Claude Monet’s gardens at Giverny. On this tour, you’ll first head to the gardens to enjoy their wide variety of flowers and plants—they look exactly like they did during Monet’s heyday, and inspired much of his art. His famous Water Lilies painting is actually on display in his private studio.

Your beautiful and relaxing morning will continue with a delicious lunch with scenic views of the French Countryside at Moulin de Fourges, a restaurant located a few minutes away on the banks for the Epte river.

Spend your afternoon on a guided tour of Versailles. The ornate palace will stun you with its splendor as you see the royal apartments, the Hall of Mirrors and the Queens' apartments. You’ll have free time after learning the impressive history of the Palace to tour the perfectly manicured gardens spreading out behind Versailles.

Our guide gave us the highlights and enough time to explore on our own.

Bus was comfortable, although as I am 6’2”, legroom was too short, meaning I had to rest my legs in the aisle. The goide was knowledgable and unflustered, despite the difficulty in wrangling other passengers. I would STRONGLY suggest that the tour be marked as unsuitable for those with any mobility problem, particularly with climbing stairs. A couple of tourists were unable to climb stairs, or keep up, which slowed the tour and dominated our longsuffering guide’s attention.

I loved Giverny; it was actually a let down to see the gardens at Versailles afterwards. I know there is never enough time when you go in a group and I will definitely go to Versailles on my own if I'm ever back in Paris!
