Insufficient time (25 minutes) to view the gardens. Of course one would need several hours for a complete viewing, however, a minimum of 90 minutes should be included for a garden visit within this tour. This could be easily facilitated by an earlier arrival or departure time as this would be a self-service tour (i.e. no guide required); an extra charge would be well worth the experience. The palace is VERY crowded, which makes the experience less than ideal. I realize that the tour company has no control over this, however, they may be able to influence those who control this process so as to achieve a better experience for visitors.

ITINERARY

Our interpreter-guide invites you to experience the history of the Palace of Versailles, one of the world’s most famous monuments to royalty. Your guide will take you straight in, without standing in line, and lead you through the most beautiful rooms -- the State Apartments, the Hall of Mirrors and the Queen’s private Apartments. Free time is planned at the end of the tour for a walk in the French-style gardens, which are full of magnificent statues, busts and marble vases.
