We had an accident during the tour.We left at the scheduled time, we spent the morning in Versalles, we had lunch and everything was according to the program. When we arrived at Maria Antonieta's farm, leaving the animal area, in a matter of a minute, we lost sight of the guide and the group. We were completely disoriented with Mrs. Silvia Varela and her husband Juan Carlos Liste, a young couple. We were lost more than 45 minutes, with high temperature and dehydrated.Meanwhile, my 14-year-old granddaughter run to find the guide Leonor and told her that they were missing 3 people from the group and she had not realised that they were missing someone and she didn't care about it.I want to clarify that I am a person over 71 years old and with serious health problems (attached medical formulas of the medications), these formulas were made by my cardiologist, my rheumatologist and my pulmonologist. After 1 hour, we managed to get out of the forest and arrived at the Trianon, we could not find them. We just saw the bus leaving and Juan Carlos ran behind, without any success. From that moment, we continued on foot, walking to Versailles, feeling week to the intense heat and the long walk. Juan Carlos arrived at the bus meeting point at 5:20, with 10 minutes in advanced and the bus had left. At that time I found my granddaughter alone and abandoned crying and giving me as an explanation that the guide had given two options, the first one was to leave me lost in Versailles and take the bus, and the second was to stay alone at the palace doors waiting for me and the bus that was going to Paris at 6 o'clock, she obviously stayed. Is this the way to care for a child under 14? Asking him to leave his lost grandmother or staying alone at the door of the Palace of Versailles in a language unknown to her?You failed in your professionalism leaving 4 people helpless, one of the third age and one minor without any protection. My health is in serious trouble.I put this complaint because I feel injured, in my emotional, health and economic part.I need an answer of this episode from you.Consuelo De la Vega

Excellent opportunity to see the palace and experience the gardens. The fountains were an added bonus.

We felt that if you plan to go to Versailles, do the whole day, the Gardens and Trianons guided tour make the extra expense well worth it. Even if it did rain the day we went, but we all came prepared. The lunch at the Garden Restaurant, after the Versailles tour was excellent.Being a small group of eight for the Garden & Trianons tour, enabled our excellent guide to impart her knowledge of the history of Versailles to us.This was our second major tour with Gray Line, we went to Tivoli Gardens in Italy in 2014.Gray Line will always be our first choice for local tours, they are great!

Full of history and incredible architecture, Versailles is more than a palace surrounded with beautiful gardens. Take this once in a lifetime opportunity to explore the beautiful interior and grounds, including a park with two more breathtaking castles—the Grand and Petit Trianons. These ornate summer residences provided a getaway for royals, and a respite from the strict etiquette of the court.

In the morning enjoy a guided visit to the State Apartments, Hall of Mirrors and Queen´s bedroom—make sure you take advantage of the free time to stroll and explore the exquisite palace gardens. At approximately 12:30 pm, walk to your lunch destination, La Petite Venise restaurant at the border of the Grand Canal. Continue to the park, where you´ll enjoy a guided tour of both the Grand and Petit Trianons; complete your amazing day with a guided tour of Queen Marie-Antoinette´s Hamlet!
