If you have a couple of days in the Split and Trogir area, this could be the trip that you are looking for. Krka NP is one of two Croatian NP that contains lakes and waterfalls. We are taking you to 2 locations of exceptional natural value inside the NP with an included boat ride down the river canyon.

But let`s start with the plan. We will meet in Split or Trogir and take a 1 hour and 30-minute drive to Entrance Lozovac as this is the best place to start the 2km walk around the Skradinski Buk waterfall (Relaxing walk downhill as the views are building up). Pass through the old water mill system as our guide explains part of the history and traditions in this area. Then continue this fantastic walk on the wooden pathway with little lakes and waterfalls everywhere. This truly is one of the most preserved ecosystems in Croatia.

After two h 30 mins at Skradinski Buk, we continue our journey with a boat ride down the river canyon to our second location inside the NP, the lovely little town of Skradin. In this lower part of the stream, we can cool down during the hot summer days with a nice swim inside the Krka River.

And last but not least, a special surprise for those who love some excellent local food and wine. Only a 10-minute drive from our swimming spot, we have a little village called Plastovo, known for a few beautiful local family foods and wine stops. Let`s go for some wine tasting (included), learn about its production and history, and, if you decide, taste some of the local specialties that the family offers. The summary would be: A total of 5hrs inside of the Krka NP at two locations with exceptional views and scenery, a boat ride, swimming inside of the Krka River, and an extra visit to a portion of local family food and wine tavern (agrotourism).

A relaxing day outside of the city that everyone will enjoy. We finish our day with a drive back to Trogir and Split on the highway. Check out the itinerary!

Our tour guide, Tin, was fantastic. He's a historian and gave us lots of background information which made sight seeing more immersive. So thankful for the short stop in Trogir. I'd spend more time there if possible. Anthony, our bus driver, was very capable and maneuvered the curves well.Krka National Park is well preserved and the board walk makes it very walkable. Spring is a lovely time to visit. The boat ride down the river was enjoyable and gives you a different perspective of the geography. The wine tasting was good. I've enjoyed trying the Croatian wines and find them good and affordable! I was thankful this was a smaller group of 14 for our wine tasting. It was not clear that we would order any food off the menu and pay for it ourselves. Lovely place for wine tasting. However, this left absolutely no time to explore the little town.Be aware, this tour is a full Gray Line bus of people. It was NOT a small group tour, as advertised. This made it difficult to hear Tin when we were off the bus touring.The bus we rode needs attention. The seat fronts and backs needed cleaning and the hand grips from the seat backs were missing, leaving sharp edges to catch clothing on.Overall, worth the price and a good way to see more than the city of Split.

We had a wonderful day at Krka National Park. Our guide, Dario, was excellent. He was so knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour. He told so many interesting stories about the park and Croatia. Dario was willing to answer all questions and had an impressive wealth of information. Our wine tour was lovely and the selection of wines offered were tasty. It was a nice way to end our time spent at the park. The bus driver was so competent, driving with such skill through the twisty narrow roads. I would highly recommend this tour!!
