Come and discover authentic Algarve cities with us and enjoy the wealth this region has to offer. We’ll visit
remote rustic villages, ancient buildings and monuments that are filled with history. We’ll also take you to Ria
Formosa, where you’ll have the opportunity to go on a river cruise.
Our trip starts in the capital of the Algarve, the city of Faro. Here, we’ll stroll through the narrow streets and the
squares until we reach the famous Village Arch - built by order of Bishop Francisco Gomes, who supervised
the reconstruction of the city following the earthquake of 1755.
Our first stop will be in Olhão, one of the oldest fishing villages in the Region. Here, you can enjoy a stroll along
Ria Formosa and take in the beauty of this famous natural park, a habitat for hundreds of birds of many
different species. You will also have time to savour some of the delicious cuisine the region has to offer, and
to try the wonderful - and fresh! - fish and shellfish that the various restaurants in Olhão have on their menu.
And we’ve kept the best for last: the charming city of Tavira. With the Gilão River running through it, Tavira is a
looking glass into an Algarve of traditions, filled with character and, above all, beautiful. Among the points of
interest, of note are the city’s castle and Santa Maria do Castelo Church, where you’ll see different styles of
architecture, from Gothic to Manueline and even Baroque and Neoclassical. A must see is also the Republic
Square, in the city centre. Located next to the river and the old Tavira bridge are the City Hall building and
an amphitheatre where shows are held.
