We were very disappointed by this tour. We wanted an overview of the city, without doing hop-on, hop-off. They did pick us up at our hotel, which was nice. We were picked up, however, in a small bus which had, literally, no shocks, and our longish drive to the "transit center" (central Information Bureau, from where Gray Line is based) was extremely uncomfortable. When we arrived at the transit center, we were told to take our printed out tickets inside, to exchange them for "read tickets." Inside the center, it was mayhem. There were people everywhere, and I had to wait in a very long line to exchange the tickets I had already printed. By now it was already well past 1:00pm, when our tour was to leave. We were finally ushered back outside, where we got onto a full-size bus. They filled every single seat. When we left, I was surprised to find out that our bus driver was also the tour guide. In addition, the guide then had to go through the bus and collect everyone's tickets, which wasted another 5+ minutes. He then told us, too, that "because someone messed up," our tour would be in both English and French, since someone had "allowed Frenchmen on the bus." This only bothered me, because it meant that the guide had far less time to tell us things about what we were seeing, as he was constantly going back and forth from English to French. The information in the tour itself was also poor. For example, we were dropped off at Notre Dame and given 30 minutes. He told us absolutely NOTHING about the church. Nothing.I was extremely disappointed by this tour and will certainly not recommend it to anyone. I am also going to write to Frommer's Guide, on whose recommendation we booked the tour, as it was so poor.
