Experience the Rose City’s most renowned nature escape, the world famous Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. This half day tour showcases the incredible diversity of scenery at Portland’s doorstep.
We travel to Multnomah Falls along the river level route of the Lewis and Clark expedition and enjoy the unfolding panorama including Rooster Rock, Cape Horn, and Mist Falls, all sights first noted by the famous explorers over 200 years ago. Continuing to the Bonneville Fish Hatchery and Bonneville Dam and fish ladders, a national historic site in the heart of the Gorge, we pass Beacon Rock, a massive monolith. Then it is onto the Historic Columbia River Highway with panoramic views from hundreds of feet above the river at Crown Point and the historic Vista House. Descending through the famous highway loops we travel past sights including Sheppard's Dell and iconic basalt rock formations formed over thousands of years. Return to Portland along the river level route of the Lewis and Clark Expedition and enjoy the unfolding panorama, including Beacon Rock, Cape Horn and Rooster Rock, all sights first noted by the famous explorers over 200 years ago.Visit Crown Point and Vista House with its spectacular views. Enjoy stops at Latourell and Multnomah Falls. The visit to Bonneville Dam and the Dam Fish Hatchery are not to be missed.

The tour does not stop for lunch, as you are back in Portland by 12:45pm. Snacks are available at Multnomah Falls Lodge. There are restrooms at all of our stops and the motorcoach is restroom equipped.
