Our tour bus driver Brian was amazing! He was extremely knowledgeable of Portland, Columbia River Gorge, the scenic byway, waterfalls, and all the interesting tidbits of info. We truly enjoyed our tour & were so grateful Gray Line even carried out the tour with my husband and I being the only ones that were on it! Brian began sharing his knowledge as soon as he pulled off from our pick up point. He also offered to take our picture at multiple stop locations which we were grateful for. One of the highlights for our first trip to the PNW. We highly recommend this tour!

Ordering the tickets online is a fine idea, but the online sign-up was confusing and difficult to process. At first it was unclear where the bus would pick us up when I saw on my ticket that I had to go online again to email where we wanted to be picked up: at 525 SW Naito Parkway or outside one of four listed Portland hotels. The online ticketing said that the tour would start at 8:30 am, but in reality did not start until 9 am after making the rounds of pickups at the hotels. The online ticketing said that the tour bus would return around 1:15 pm, depending on traffic, which is understandable, but we arrived back around before 12:30 pm. Thus, a shorter "4.5 hour" tour than we were expecting. We did not stop to see the Bonneville Dam and fish ladder. I understand that Gray Line wanted to get some people back so that they could quickly eat lunch and catch a different Gray Line City of Portland tour that was leaving soon after our early return to Portland. We travelled along the scenic Columbia River Highway, and back along the river route of the Lewis and Clark Expedition. We did stop at Multnomah Falls, Crown Point Vista House, and Latourell Falls. Nice photo opportunities! Also on the positive side, our bus driver/tour guide was pleasant, offered to answer any questions we might have, and appeared quite knowledgeable while telling us about the points of interest during our bus ride. Educational and entertaining! The bus was comfortable, clean, and thankfully uncrowded.
