This tour was excellent. Ursula was our guide and right from the moment the bus left the pick up point she was giving us a history of Munich and the rise of the Reich. We had time to look at the scenery but it was nice that by the time we got to Obersalzberg we had a good idea of what we would find and what it all meant. The time was well apportioned between the Eagles Nest and the rest of the Obersalzberg area. We opted, after visiting the Eagles Nest, to have a quick sandwich so we could make time to tour the Documentation Center and the tunnels in the center. It rained hard on the way back and the bus driver chose to avoid some of the traffic on the Autobahn, which not only meant we got back just 5minutes after the normal time but we also got a great tour of the countryside. It was a fantastic day, and I would highly recommend Autobus OberBayern and Ursula to anyone curious about this part of Bavaria.

The overall experience was great. Bea did great job as a tourguide!only negative thing about the trip was that the 2h in the dokumentation centre and bunker WAS NOT enough at all. we watched the movie on the movieroom, then basically checked 20% of the displayed info on the walls in the dokumentation centre, fast forwarded the 40min audioguide on the side, checked bunker fast and got to the restarurant to eat (we had to eat, no chance getting though the day with just breakfest). and just with takeaway coffees made it back to the bus on time. i'd have preferred 4h of freetime on the low platform instead of 2. I would've wanted to properly check the information that was offered in the dokumentation centre, eat, check the whole movie, take the 80min audioguide and go check the panoramic view in the woods that the berghof used to have.Overall great trip, even though timewise it was not enough.

Eagles Nest was an interestingly historical site to visit. We were glad that we purchased the excursion thru Gray Line. To make our own way to Berchtesgaden would have been difficult. The time management expectations of our tour could have been much better though. The time at the top was too long, and would have been better spent in the documentation center. As well, there was too much focus on spending time at the restaurant getting lunch. At minimum I would guess it takes at least an hour to go through the documentation center with at least an additional 15 minutes in the bunkers. With the time spent in the restaurant (slow service) we had at most 40 minutes to do both. Please explain this more clearly to guests in the future. I would have liked to know that we could have grabbed a quick bite at one of the 2 stands and spent the extra time at the doc center.Jonny the guide was OK, sometimes difficult to understand.

A great overall experience! A must visit location for anyone visiting the area! The tour service was very easy to book online. Getting to and from the tour bus starting location using the train was simple. We met tour goers from America and other countries too. The tour guide Jonathan was great! He gave some additional information and historical facts about sites in Munich that we didn't expect… which was awesome. We ended up on the 2nd bus going up to the Eagles Nest and had to catch up with Jonathan.A round of applause to the bus driver who skillfully navigated the very narrow streets getting to the Eagles Nest parking lot. Overall an AMAZING tour!!

I thoroughly enjoyed the tour of the Eagle‘s Nest and the area around Berchtesgaden. Ursula, the tour guide, was great! She was knowledgeable and connected with the audience. I appreciate how organized the itinerary was and how the day flowed smoothly. I never felt rushed at any site but also felt like the schedule moved along at the appropriate pace. Great tour! My second with Grayline. I highly recommend - especially for solo travelers. It’s a great way to meet folks.
