Live a real-life fairytale on a trip to the beautiful castles of Neuschwanstein and Linderhof, two of the most precious jewels of Bavaria. On this full-day tour from Munich with skip-the-line service, you’ll visit the two stunning castles and the traditional village of Oberammergau

Travel through the scenic German countryside to the legendary extravagance of the German castles Neuschwanstein and Linderhof with Gray Line. These are known worldwide for their elaborate construction and world-famous architecture.

The two extraordinary structures were dreamed up by Ludwig II, who was also known as the Swan King. Ludwig built his dream castles in the seclusion of the Bavarian mountains. Both testify to the vision of Bavaria’s fairytale King — you’ll soon find out why many believe Neuschwanstein inspired Disney’s fairytale castles.

After departing from Munich, you’ll visit Linderhof Castle. This is a French rococo-style castle which was inspired by the Palace of Versailles and is surrounded by immaculately manicured gardens.

A quick shopping and photo stop in the charming village of Oberammergau will recharge your batteries for the second half of your day. Here, you will find examples of the traditional art of woodcarving and the buildings are covered in delightful frescoes.

You’ll arrive at the idyllic Neuschwanstein Castle around 1:00 pm, where you’re free to enjoy approximately four hours to explore the castle and find the best spots to take iconic photos to share with your friends and family.
