I really enjoyed my trip, but have come to realize that I want to spend much more time in Salzburg than this day trip can afford. There is hardly enough time to truly explore Salzburg and experience its many sites. You probably need, at least, 2 or 3 days here. I could spend more. Our meeting departure point was a bit confusing. Apparently, another tour company had taken up the place where our departure point was to be. It took some time to locate a company representative to learn that my tour bus was located on the other side of the avenue. Also, I typically store my passport in my hotel's safe when I travel internationally for safety. There had not been any notice that you needed to have your passport to board. It would have been helpful to know this beforehand as I had to make a mad dash back to my hotel and retrieve my passport. Fortunately, I made it just in time! Elizabeth, our tour guide, and our driver were terrific. Elizabeth was quite information and interesting throughout the trip. Her instructions were clear and she kept the group moving together steadily through the tour. I loved the insights and stories she shared, plus some good recommendations. Our driver was friendly, helpful and most importantly, a conscientious driver. A day trip like this isn't meant to offer an indepth experience. Rather, it enables one to experience some highlights, maybe make a friend or two, and leaves you with a wonderful desire of coming back to experience more. I definitely want to come back to Salzburg and spend more time there and in the Lake district. What a beautiful countryside!

I did two tours with Gray Line, one to the Neuschwanstein and Lindhof castles and one to Salzburg. Both tours were great, however I would like to specifically mention and thank Elisabeth our Salzburg tour guide who went above and beyond to provide an informative tour - she even provided her own personal sheet of extra information on the Salzburg highlights.

Memorable day trip to beautiful Salzburg and Lake. It was great to visit the lake with a private boat. This was the 3rd tour with Grayline munich and all the tours were fantastic.

Easy to book, good price, great organisation. Both driver and tour guide were friendly and the guide knew her stuff, was interesting but didn't overwhelm with facts.Salzburg was great, the additional boat tour was well worth it and the coach was very comfortable
