Chateus were very crowded. Guide could have taken us through the furnished rooms in Chambord.

I liked this tour. But it was a long time in the bus and not enough time at the chateaus. I was also dissapointed not to see Amboise where Leonardo spent his last days. Is is possible to take a train to the Loire valley and then meet the bus there so we could spend more time at the chateus.

Totally disappointed that instead of bought tour Castles Of The Loire River Valley Tour From Paris ("See the famous and splendid castles of the French Loire Valley: Chenonceau, Cheverny and Chambord") you get only Amboise and Chenonceau with wine testing, and NO Chambord. And this was without any announce! Tour guide was very angered that many disappointed people asked about the changes in the tour and claimed that Gray Line received the info 9 months ago...The wine testing: its very unpleasant that in France you get three different wines to test in the same glass( it wasn't changed) and offered snacks were damp. No water offered...

ITINERARY
During the Renaissance, the Loire River Valley was a favorite destination of the French kings and their courtiers to escape the hustle and bustle of court life. The fortunate result of these excursions is the historic, elegant castles and architectural masterpieces that remain. Art and history have combined to create a charming way of life in this region known as the "Garden of France."
Our itinerary will include:
Saturdays and Mondays in Summer: Tour visits Amboise, Chenonceau and Chambord.
(Amboise is a beautiful historic chateau overlooking the Loire River)
Our itinerary will include:
- Chateau de Chenonceau: Take a guided tour of this elegant Renaissance castle famous for its bridge spanning the Cher River.
- Relax and enjoy lunch on your own in Amboise or Chenonceaux.
- Chateau de Chambord: Visit the royal castle of Chambord, the largest in the region, featuring a unique staircase built by Leonardo de Vinci and lush, beautiful grounds.
- From April 1st, a wine tasting will replace the visit of Cheverny Castle
