We went on a tour with Gray Line to Snaefellsnes and had a fabulous trip. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining and our driver was amazing. This was our second tour with them on our vacation and had absolutely no complaints!

The Tour to Snaefellsnes National Park was amazing!!! It is worth the 10 hours driving, we saw a lot of Iceland in 1 day. The driver and guide was a really nice woman, and she shared a few interesting stories, she just need to improve a little bit her English to speak faster and more fluent, but in general she did a great job. I couldn't eat lunch because the restaurant were we stop didn't offer gluten free products, so if you have intolerance or you are celiatic, then bring your own lunch. Other than that I definitely recommend this tour.

AMAZING TOUR! Do not skip this one! It was my first time in Iceland and I wanted to see as much as possible. The sights and everything you get to do on this tour is well worth it. The caving was one of the highlights for me, but if you get vertigo, beware of the stairs. I had some congestion on top of getting vertigo and it didn't go too well for me once I reached the top because I did not take my time. REGARDLESS OF THAT (which is 100% on me, so learn from my mistake!), it is honestly one of the coolest things I've ever done, and I would definitely do it again! Kirkjufell was the REASON why I wanted to do this tour and seeing it in person was so gratifying. It has been my Screensaver at work for months as my motivation! Our tour guide (I can't remember his name! It started with a G I think) was great! He was our guide and driver, and he did an excellent job of keeping us entertained while also driving. He was very knowledgeable and very friendly!

This tour takes you west from Reykjavik on a scenic route to Borgarfjörður and the village of Borgarnes where a short stop will be made for refreshments.

Shortly after entering Snæfellsnes peninsula, by Ytri-Tunga Farm you‘´ll get a chance to spot local wildlife at the beach which is home to a seal colony and variety of sea birds.

Next up is a visit to the idyllic Arnarstapi village where you‘ll take a walk to view the extraordinary landscape along the precipitous shoreline before continuing to the small village of Hellnar where a brake will be made for lunch.

After lunch the tour continues to Vatnshellir lava tube cave that lies in the Snæfellsjökull National Park, close to where Jules Verne located his entrance for the “Journey to the Centre of the Earth”.

Exploring Vatnshellir you‘ll plunge into a subterranean world of stalactites, stalagmites, and strange lava formations that, in the glow of your headlight, form eerie shapes and shadows flickering across the walls of the cave.

From the dark underworld of Vatnshellir the tour takes you to Djúpalónssandur, a tranquil, black-pebbled beach that offers beautiful views out to the sea and fascinating history.

Leaving Djúpalónssandur you‘ll travel past striking landscapes to the north coast of Snæfellsnes peninsula to Grundarfjordur fishing village. Surrounded by exceptionally beautiful mountains Grundarfjörður is home to one of the peninsula‘s most iconic and photographed landmarks, the symmetrical mountain Kirkjufell that towers 1500 ft. up from the shoreline.

Out of Grundarfjörður the route lies across Berserkjahraun lava fields that according to Viking legends was where two Swedish "Berserks" forged Iceland‘s first road and over to the south side of the peninsula through Vatnaleið pass.
