This tour runs from 1100-1830 and is 100% not enough time. This tour, if keeping all stops, should depart at 0700. It's supposed to be a Heidiland tour but in the end we had about 20 minutes at Heidi's house and that was done at speed. I was excited to visit Liechtenstein, but again only 45 mins was allowed - not enough time. Also we arrived to Lichtenstein at 1600, a time when everything is closing. Not great timing. This tour comprised of two tours in one - something I wasn't aware of. Part one was a tour of Zürich (why?) and then an hour (!) in Rapperswill - cute town with a rose garden. The guide held lunch at a restaurant with importance. We'd travelled for only an hour. With such a late departing tour, lunch at a restaurant should not be a priority. So after that, half the bus caught a boat back to Zürich and we carried on. That part of the tour was a massive waste of time. I would have preferred going directly to Heidi's house, spending at least an hour there and then going to Liechtenstein for at least 2-3 hours and maybe getting to see anything in Vaduz besides the souvenir shop and "a great place for cake and coffee". Why does this tour leave so late and spend less than an hour in the places you actually want to see? Why is a tour of Zürich tacked onto the front? Who wants to spend an hour of time waiting for people to finish eating at an expensive restaurant? I grabbed an apple pie from mc Donald's. 10 mins max. This tour either needs an earlier departure time or the first half needs to be removed because it is a waste of time. The guide was also not great. Pointing out places to eat and souvenir shops. Telling lame jokes on the bus in amongst tiny snippets of Swiss facts, which were repeated on the way back to Zürich!! He also said tips were appreciated. No. I felt I needed to google all the questions that I had.PLEASE. More time for Heidi and Liechtenstein. We don't travel all the way here and pay just for one hour of rushed time.

It was a great way to see a lot of Switzerland in a day. Unfortunately the weather was unbearably hot, but the air conditioning on the bus was great. The stops in Rapperswil and Vaduz were great. I was not aware that to get to the Heidi House we had to walk up a mountain over half a mile. If the heat had not been so bad, I don't think I would have minded. Great day out.

Visit the incredible world of Heidi. It’s a world of mountains and valleys, alpine lakes and meadows, waterfalls, gorges, caves and fascinating scenic reserves. After first completing a city tour of Zurich we will follow Lake Zurich to Rapperswil, the city of roses. We will visit the picturesque Old Town and its Medieval Castle. You will also have some leisure time to explore here.

After crossing the Ricken Pass with its panoramic views of the Alps we will reach the lovely Toggenburg region, whose pretty hills and valley scenery is the perfect photo opportunity! In Vaduz, the capital of the tiny principality of Liechtenstein, you will have more time at your leisure. A visit to the post office is recommended; the famous stamps from this tiny state are coveted worldwide by philatelists and amateur stamp lovers alike.

Later we will arrive at Maienfeld, the setting for the Heidi stories. In the summer months you can visit Heidi’s village. A short walk leads to a collection of picturesque mountain houses, a village shop, and of course lots of little goats. Entry into the authentic Heidi House is optional. During winter season Heidi's village is closed. We will show you the oldest houses of Switzerland in Werdenberg, which is famous for its beautiful castle.

Finally, we will take a beautiful trip back to Zurich along the banks of Lake Walen, guarded by the majestic Churfirsten mountain range, ending your lovely, nostalgic Swiss tour.
