A rush of romanticism still lingers in the twisted columns and wood accents of El Querandi, truly one of the city’s most intimate settings. Designed for no more than 200 guests, El Querandi was originally built as a manor in 1867 before being converted to a drinking establishment in 1920. Renovated in 1992, the San Telmo neighborhood icon is called living testimony to the times by the Museum of Buenos Aires and is a cultural icon designated “Bar Notable” by the Undersecretariat of Culture.
Elegant song and dance cast their spell on the audience, telling the story of the exciting events and vivid characters who played their part in Buenos Aires’s tango love affair from 1860 to present.
The show is performed by a group of twelve including an acoustic quartet (piano, accordion, violin, and bass), three dance couples, and the voices of Gabriel Mores and Carlos Gari.
