The tour was perfectly though slightly rushed in certain areas. However, it gave the right amount of time where we needed it and we were exactly on schedule the whole time. Very educational with the right amount of historical info. Enough to be engaging but not too much. Susan was a fantastic guide.

Booked the tour since it was the easiest way to see both castles in a day without a car. The castles are amazing, especially the interior of Neuschwanstein (it was quite quick though) and I would have probably enjoyed the Linderhof more during spring/summer when everything is open. Also our guide had a good sense of humour.

I went to see the castles. They were amazing, but my tour guide Ulrich was not flexible at all about changing default itinerary. I didn't want to visit one of the castles that everyone else wanted to visit so I asked can they give me recommendation for the other castle that was right next to it, and they told me that means I am on my own and have to do everything for myself since it is "too much trouble" for them to buy me a ticket for other castle. They went in special line for tour guides to buy tickets for default castle and it was too much trouble to buy 1 ticket for other castle too while staying in line to buy tickets (where tickets for both castles are being sold)? Also, while they were waiting in the line, we were in the bus, and since I wasn't going to the castle he was buying ticket for - I was wasting my time waiting for him in the bus, and he gave no information on when are we heading back so I couldn't leave before I have that information. :(He also said in the bus while we were driving towards the castles: "There is one girl that is not going to the default castle, and that is not recommended and she is not gonna be able to see any of the castles" - which didn't make me feel really nice either. Then I had to go to line (with everyone who came with car and without a tour guide) and wait to buy my own ticket for the castle I wanted to go to. I made my stay great, and managed to see both castles even though Ulrich told me that is impossible and didn't want to help me at all. I would recommend this tour only because it is a great coach service that takes you around - nothing more. If you are able to drive in Germany or if you have a car -> that would definitely be better option since all the sites are assessable by car, and you have to pay for the entrance to the castles separately anyway.

Wander through the scenic German countryside on your way to the legendary extravagance of the German castles Neuschwanstein and Linderhof. Known for their elaborate construction and world-famous architecture, these two extraordinary structures were dreamed up by Germany’s own Ludwig II, also known as the Swan King. You’ll soon find out why many believe Neuschwanstein inspired Disney’s storybook castles--get ready to feel like you’re living a real-life fairy tale. Hidden in the seclusion of the mountains, German King Ludwig II built two of his dream castles: Neuschwanstein and Linderhof. Both testify to the vision of Bavaria’s fairytale King.

Departing from Munich, you’ll first visit Linderhof Castle, a French rococo-style castle inspired by Versailles itself and surrounded by immaculately manicured gardens. A quick shopping and photo stop in the charming village Oberammergau will recharge your batteries for the second half of your day. You’ll arrive at idyllic Neuschwanstein Castle around 1:00 p.m, where you’re free to enjoy approximately 4 hours to explore the castle.
