The Columbia River Gorge tour was excellent. The tour guide was great and very knowledgeable. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour. We didn't get a chance to do the trolley portion since we got back so late in the afternoon and we still had to get lunch.

Great tour and tour guides

I took a combo tour. The booth wasn't open in the morning to exchange my email confirmation for a ticket so I had to do that after the tour, which was a hassle. There was no bathroom on the bus, as promised. The guide didn't mention that he had paper towels until maybe 45 minutes after the tour started so people didn't wipe down windows to be able to see outside. The guide was knowledgeable and friendly overall and I did enjoy seeing the sights, even in the rain. As for the pink line tour, the wind messed with the speakers so it was really hard to hear the narration. I wouldn't think that wind would affect the speakers so much. The buses also departed early. I was heading to the Powell's pickup spot to get back on the bus and I saw it drive by a few minutes early -- that's not really fair when you have such limited hours. I'd recommend the gorge/falls tour. The pink trolley tour wasn't as useful due to the issues I mentioned but if you're short on time and just want a quick tour, you may enjoy it. If I go back to Portland again, I'd probably just see city sights on my own because the public transit is pretty good.
